Community Grants
SPAT awarded a grant to the non-profit organization Education & Resources Group (ERG) to produce a shellfish trail guide and map, designed for walking, biking or driving. The Wellfleet Shellfish Trail highlights more than 20 sites that tell the history of the town’s shellfish industry and explains why Wellfleet is such a special place for shellfish aquaculture.
SPAT gave a grant to the Wellfleet Comprehensive Wastewater Planning Committee to publish a Septic Best Practices Guide to help the public learn how to reduce septic system failure, which will improve water quality for all of Wellfleet, and especially the harbor.
